Indoor High-Voltage Live LCD Display

Forced electrical interlocking can forcibly lock the grounding switch or the cabinet door of the switchgear. Reliable operation: the LCD display and the voltage verification section require no working power supply, and since they comprise three-phase, six-circuit sets, the possibility of simultaneous failure is eliminated, thereby preventing “misleading guidance.” No frequent maintenance is required, enabling long-term, uninterrupted operation.

Product Features

● Equipped with a self-diagnosis function.
● LCD display.
● Equipped with a voltage verification function, it effectively addresses the current requirement in fully enclosed switchgear—such as “five-protection” systems—that the cabinet door must be forcibly opened before closing the earthing switch for voltage verification.

● Long service life—up to 100,000 hours. Both the display unit and internal components are designed with long-life parts, even under conditions of ground overvoltage in power systems. This effectively addresses the major challenges associated with neon-lamp-type live-indicator devices, such as the need for frequent replacement of neon bulbs and the substantial maintenance workload.
● Dual display mode ensures clear visibility in both bright and dim environments.

● It can indicate the phase in which a fault of “grounding” has occurred in equipment operating in an ungrounded system.
● Flexible configuration. The product can be configured in several variants to meet different user requirements: a pure LCD display type (FDSY-Port/T), an LCD display plus voltage-indication socket type (FDSY-Port/TY), and a forced-lockout type (FDSY-Port/QY), as well as the FDSY-WY type, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. When replacing existing neon-lamp-type live-indicator devices, the FDSY-Port/WY type is recommended; if the original switchgear’s live indicator is a “one-to-two” dual-display configuration—i.e., both the front and rear cabinets each have two indicators sharing a common set of sensors—then the FDSY-Port/TY type is recommended for the front cabinet and the FDSY-Port/QY type for the rear cabinet.
For newly installed switchgear or applications requiring interlocking of the switchgear grounding switch or switchgear door, the FDSY-口/N model is recommended.

Product Features

The FDSY-type insulator-type high-voltage live-display interlocking device is used to monitor whether indoor incoming lines, busbars, main transformers, and other electrical equipment or networks in 50 Hz AC substations with rated voltages of 3 to 40.5 kV are energized, thereby alerting personnel to the presence of voltage on the equipment. It also interlocks with the grounding switch (temporary earthing point) and network doors of the primary circuit being monitored to prevent accidental closing of the grounding switch (or connection of a grounding wire) and inadvertent entry into energized compartments. This device has been developed in accordance with the State Grid Corporation’s “Regulations on the Management of Devices for Preventing Electrical Misoperations” and the “Safety Procedures for Electric Power Operations.” After prolonged use, it has demonstrated normal operation, high safety and reliability, and excellent performance.

The performance specifications of this device comply with the IEC 61958 (2000) international standard and the DL/T 538–2006 domestic power industry standard. Following type tests conducted by the Quality Inspection and Testing Center for Power Equipment and Instruments of the Electric Power Industry at the China Academy of Electrical Sciences, all test items were found to be compliant.
This device consists of a support insulator sensor and a display unit, with the display unit incorporating an interlock circuit.

Technical Indicators

● Operating environment:
Temperature: -35°C to +65°C;
Humidity: not greater than 95%;
Altitude: not greater than 3,000 meters.
● Power display and interlock for phase voltage: >25% of rated phase voltage;
Electrical display and unlocking phase voltage: ≤15% of the rated phase voltage;
The voltmeter indicates phase voltage when energized: ≥35% of the rated phase voltage;
No-charge indication for the voltage detector: phase voltage ≥ 25% of the rated phase voltage;

● Locking K-contact rating: AC 250 V, 5 A; DC 220 V, 0.7 A.
● Display power supply: AC or DC 100–250 V, power consumption < 5 W.
● LCD contrast ratio: 20:1.
● The voltage-testing plug flashes: clearly visible within three meters.
● Voltage-indication plug flashing frequency: greater than 1 Hz.
