Type AC Low-Voltage Distribution Cabinet
Product Overview
The GGD-type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet is designed for power distribution systems with a rated operating voltage of 380 V and a rated current up to 3,150 A, serving as equipment for electrical energy conversion, distribution, and control in power, lighting, and general distribution applications. Developed in response to requirements from the competent authorities under the Ministry of Energy, as well as from a broad base of power users and design institutes, the GGD-type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet embodies the principles of safety, economy, rationality, and reliability, representing a new generation of low-voltage switchgear. The product features high breaking capacity, excellent dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical schemes, convenient modular configuration, and strong practicality, making it an ideal replacement for conventional low-voltage complete switchgear assemblies.
Terms of Use
● The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C or fall below -5°C, and the 24-hour average temperature shall not exceed +35°C;
● For indoor installation and use, the altitude of the installation location shall not exceed 2,000 m;
● The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C; at lower temperatures, a higher relative humidity is permissible (e.g., 90% at +20°C), taking into account the potential for occasional condensation due to temperature fluctuations.
● If the requirements for normal operating conditions cannot be met, users are requested to consult with our company to resolve the issue.
Structural Features
The GGD-type AC low-voltage distribution cabinet adopts a universal cabinet configuration, with a frame constructed from 8MF cold-formed steel sections joined by localized welding. The frame components and dedicated matching parts are supplied by designated manufacturers of structural steel, ensuring the cabinet’s dimensional accuracy and quality. The components of the universal cabinet are designed according to modular principles and feature mounting holes arranged in a 20-module grid. This high degree of standardization enables pre-production at the factory, thereby shortening the manufacturing cycle and enhancing operational efficiency.
The GGD cabinet design gives full consideration to heat dissipation during operation. The cabinet is equipped with a varying number of ventilation slots at both the top and bottom. When electrical components inside the cabinet generate heat, the warm air rises and is exhausted through the upper slots, while cool air continuously enters the cabinet through the lower slots, thereby creating a natural convection airflow from bottom to top within the sealed enclosure and achieving effective heat dissipation.
In accordance with the design principles for modern industrial product aesthetics, the GGD cabinet employs the golden ratio to determine the overall cabinet profile and the proportional dimensions of its various components, resulting in a sleek, sophisticated appearance that presents a fresh, contemporary look.
The cabinet door is hinged to the frame via pivot-type adjustable hinges, facilitating easy installation and removal. A V-shaped rubber-plastic strip is embedded along the door’s folded edge; when the door is closed, this strip compresses slightly, preventing direct impact between the door and the cabinet frame and enhancing the door’s protection rating.
The instrument door housing electrical components is connected to the frame by multi-strand flexible copper wire, while the internal mounting components are secured to the frame using knurled screws, thereby forming a complete grounding protection system for the entire cabinet.
The cabinet’s topcoat is a polyester orange-peel baked finish, offering strong adhesion, a fine texture, and a matte tone throughout the cabinet. This design eliminates glare, creating a more comfortable visual environment for on-duty personnel.
The cabinet top cover can be removed as needed, facilitating on-site assembly and adjustment of the main busbar. Lifting rings are installed at the four corners of the cabinet top for lifting and transportation.
The enclosure has an IP30 protection rating; users may also select a rating between IP20 and IP40 based on the requirements of the operating environment.
