Fully Insulated and Fully Sealed Metal-Enclosed Ring Main Unit
Product Overview
The FM-24 series of inflatable SF6 metal-enclosed, fully insulated ring-main switchgear, independently developed and manufactured by our company, is widely used in 24 kV distribution systems and is the preferred switching solution for power transformation and distribution systems across urban and rural applications. The switchgear adopts a modular unit design that can be configured according to different application requirements; it comprises two main categories—fixed units and expandable units—to meet the need for compact, flexible switchgear solutions in various substation configurations. The FM-24 inflatable switchgear is a fully sealed system in which all live components and switching elements are enclosed within a stainless-steel housing. As a result, the entire switching assembly is completely unaffected by external environmental conditions, ensuring reliable operation and personal safety while eliminating the need for routine maintenance. By selecting expandable busbars, any configuration can be realized, achieving full modularity. The secure insulation and shielding provided by the expandable busbars further guarantee high reliability and safety. In addition, the FM-24 inflatable switchgear can be equipped with TV-based automation solutions, embodying the concept of intelligent switching and minimizing on-site installation and commissioning efforts.
The FM-24 type gas-insulated switchgear is available in both non-expandable standard and expandable standard configurations. Its exceptional flexibility stems from the combinability of full and half modules as well as its inherent expandability. The FM-24 gas-insulated switchgear complies with GB standards and is designed for an operational life of more than 30 years under indoor conditions (20°C).
Terms of Use
● Suitable for a wide range of environments, including extreme high and low temperatures (+40°C to -40°C), humid conditions, dusty environments, saline or corrosive atmospheres, mining operations, and high-altitude locations (below 4,000 meters). Short-term immersion in water for up to 24 hours does not affect operation.
Note: If the location is at a higher elevation, please specify the exact altitude.

Main Features
● The FM-24 series inflatable switchgear uses SF6 gas as the arc-quenching and insulating medium.
● The switchgear features a fully sealed, fully insulated design; the busbars, switches, and live components are completely enclosed within a stainless steel enclosure.
● The enclosure is filled with SF6 gas at 1.4 bar, achieving an IP67 protection rating, which ensures the switchgear operates reliably even under extreme conditions such as brief immersion in water.
● The switchgear is equipped with a comprehensive “five-protection” interlocking system, effectively eliminating the risk of personnel injury and equipment malfunctions caused by human error.
● All switchgear cabinets are equipped with reliable pressure-relief vents, ensuring the personal safety of operating personnel even under extreme conditions.
● Switchgear cabinets are classified into two types: fixed-unit assemblies and expandable-unit assemblies.
● Switchgear cabinets typically feature front-mounted incoming and outgoing lines; however, depending on the installation configuration, they can also be configured with side-mounted outgoing lines or side extensions.
● The cabinet dimensions facilitate installation and make it suitable for spaces with limited room and adverse environmental conditions.
● Switchgear cabinets can be equipped with electric, remote-control, and monitoring devices to meet various customer requirements.
